The C49 Tim Wegner Jr. is a custom collaboration model with a drop point blade and G-10 handle, designed by Tim Wegner. It is the smaller version of the C48 Tim Wegner. The C49 was introduced in 1997, and discontinued in 1998.

Description from the 1997 catalog, for both the C48 Tim Wegner and C49 Tim Wegner Jr.:
Tim Wegner combines knifemaking expertise and hunting experience in his first collaboration with Spyderco. The result is an everyday companion that meets the specific needs of the sportsman. Partnered in a drop-point style, the sturdy hollow-ground blade provides excellent edge retention and has just enough skinning curve to be effective. Cross-texturing above the opening hole allows for accurate thumb placement and precise edge control. The handle is form of premium G-10 for slip and weather resistance and feels comfortable in all grip positions. It incorporates a strong Linerlock and a lanyard hole for extra security. Available in two sizes, this lightweight cutting tool will do what is asked of it and more.
