Information from the Spyderco catalog on the web
C66BK3 Centofante 3:
"If you move in custom knife industry circles and/or attend knife shows you will have heard of Frank Centofante. In addition to being a celebrated and longtime custom knifemaker Frank is a past President of the Knifemaker's Guild, a strong voice in the cutlery world and a revered and respected craftsman. Collaborating on knife designs with him is something Spyderco has been fortunate enough to do several times. Our latest offering is the Centofante 3 gentleman's folder.
The Centofante 3 has a thin-profiled, lightweight FRN handle. Two channels are furrowed out of the handle for better grip and a Palladium silver Spyderco bug is inlayed into its surface. For added security and convenience the back-lock is positioned midway on the spine and David Boye Dent is cut from the locking lever. The VG-10 blade has both a hollow-grind and swedge-grind with non-sharpened spine serrations (jimping) to hold the thumb steady when cutting. A black steel pocket clip positions for tip-up/down, right-hand carry."

C66BK-4 Centofante 4:
"Spyderco is fortunate to have collaborated on numerous knife designs with custom knifemaker Frank Centofante over the past decade. Frank's lifetime of experience in designing and crafting knives guarantees style and function in a gentleman's folder.
Spyderco's Centofante4 folder represents the evolutionary refinement of previous Centofante/Spyderco collaborations. Its thin-profiled fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handle is furrowed with grip enhancing channels and inset with a Palladium silver Spyderco logo bug. Adding security and ease of deployment, the back-lock is positioned mid-spine. Cut out of the locking lever is a David Boye Dent, diminishing the feasibility of gripping the knife handle tightly enough while cutting to unintentionally release the lock. The Centofante4 features a Wharncliffe VG-10 steel blade that has both a hollow-grind and a non-sharpened spine swedge-grind. Prominently rising above the Spyderco Round Hole is a crest for the thumb keeping it in controlled contact with the blade. Right-hand steel pocket clip positions the folder for tip-up/tip-down carry. Nested steel liner in the handle creates rigidity and a foundation for the clip's screw attachment."

Questions regarding collecting the C66
Some interesting questions we are looking for an answer to:
Questions with an answer: Q: Is there a Centofante/Vesuvius 2? A: Yes, the Centofante II is a different SKU (C50) and based on the original Centofante (C25), both completely different designs from the C66. Since the Centofante 3/4 shares its design from the C66 Centofante Vesuvius, of which there was no 2nd iteration (no Centofante Vesuvius 2, that is), and because the "Centofante 2" name was already being used by a separate SKU, when the C66 got a design iteration and its name shortened, it likely skipped the "2" moniker since that was already being used by the C50 and instead went to a "3".
