Ed Schempp
From Spydiewiki
Jump to navigationJump to searchA well-known metallurgy enthusiast and custom knifemaker, Ed met Sal Glesser in 2000. After conversing about knives, Sal put in an order for one of Ed's custom knives. Wanting to do something special with Damascus, Ed made two mosaic Damascus bolstered knives and a belt-buckle. This led to his collaboration on the C76 25th Anniversary Delica and later into Ed designing additional folders and leading up Spyderco's ethnic knife program. Ed came from a farming background and so adopted a wheat-adorned logo for his maker's mark.
