2002 Dive Probe

In 1989 the SCUBA Probe, Model 2002, emerged. It had a body slightly over 10 inches long, the same blade as the previous model, and weight almost 14 ounces. Instead of a snap it feature a small eye at one end for attachment of a lanyard. Blade magazine gave this model its “1989 Imported Design Knife of the Year” Award.[1]

Variations

The 2002 Dive Probe is made in Japan and features:

  • A Sheepsfoot Blade
  • A line cutter incorporated in the spine of the blade.
  • A ten inch long handle that incorporated, a ruler-type scale of mm and inches, a drying vent and a prying tip.
