Howard Viele

Howard Viele has been a leading member of the Knifemaker's Guild since 1976. His designs are visually identifiable and carry his personal stamp: tactical, modern, gentlemanly and tapered. Marking it as a Viele design is his signature logo of three small parallel holes and a circular symbol which represent the Japanse God of War, see Howard Viele Makers mark for examples of his logo. Howard Viele was a custom knifemaker for over 40 years, when passed away in 2019 at 78 years old.

For Spyderco, he designed the C42 Howard Viele and the C114 Howard Viele Phoenix.
