Diamond-Like Carbon is a carbon based composite coating that gives high hardness, corrosion resistance, a lower coefficient of friction, and a low reflectivity, black appearance. It is applied using physical vapour deposition (PVD). It is one of the primary coatings Spyderco uses on their black blades.
