The two-bladed C39 Dyad Jr. was introduced in 1997. Initially named Mini Dyad, in 1998 the name was changed to Dyad Jr.. In 1999 a variation with FRN handles, named Dyad Jr. Lightweight, was introduced.

The C39 Dyad Jr. was listed in the 1999 and 2000 (Dealer only) Spyderco product catalogs.
