A sheepsfoot blade is a blade with a round, blunt tip that has no point and a straight cutting edge (as opposed to a Wharncliffe blade, which has a straight cutting edge but a pointy tip). The design inhibits accidental stabbing while working in emergency situations, around livestock and inflatable boats, car wrecks and the like.
