Vince Ford is a custom knife maker and engineer who worked for Spyderco on production and product development from 1993 until 2001. He and His father started a machineshop in California which later moved to Colorado. The short story from Vince himself:

1989 My Dad and I moved our machine shop from California to Clackamas Oregon and did some machining on parts for Benchmade.

1993 Moved machine shop to Golden Colorado and became partners with Sal (Golden Manufacturing)

1996 Sold Golden Manufacturing to Sal, and worked for Spyderco as their Product Development Manager.

1997 Started a small machine shop BCT Precision and worked with knife makers in the evenings and weekends, still working for Spyderco.

2001 Moved to Washington and set up Blade-Tech’s Knife factory. [1]
