Titanium Carbo-Nitrite is a coating composed of titanium (Ti), carbon (C), and nitrogen (N). It is applied using physical vapour deposition (PVD) and depending on the amount of carbon and nitrogen, can range from brownish (high nitrogen content) to metallic blueish gray (higher carbon). It is one of the primary coatings Spyderco uses on their black blades.
