A short description of the subject should be atop of the article. Like a quick explanation before going in depth, an abstract, or a summary.

All headlines below are level-two headlines. If you need a level deeper, use level-three headlines as in section 6.1

Please use the structure below to format your submission. When in doubt of how to format something, just view the source of this page (edit). If you want to link to external pages, then please do it either this way, or even better: put them in the "weblinks" section.

Whenever you use something in your article that already has been described in another article, place an internal link to the page when you first mention it in your text. Example: The SKU states that it has a serrated edge.

To find out more on how to use links in articles, please that a look at the article about linking. If you need help with Wiki-markup, take a look at the article about formatting text

Appearance in catalogs

Here goes everything interesting regarding the mentioning in the catalogs including a footnotes containing links[1] to the mentioned catalogs.

Designer

This section should be self explaining.

History, mentionings etc. from the forums

Also like the title of this section says. If text is cited, like quotes from somebody, it should be possible to recognize it as a citation, which also includes the source as a footnote. This would be an example:

"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Nullam ut pede sit amet velit consectetuer imperdiet. Maecenas ut metus ut nunc ullamcorper facilisis. Ut est dui, euismod nec, sagittis quis, scelerisque sollicitudin, arcu. Phasellus dapibus ipsum eget mi. Fusce rhoncus. Nunc pretium turpis vel diam. Nulla magna turpis, gravida vel, posuere mollis, porta eget, erat. Ut luctus pulvinar velit. Nunc in dui id diam posuere mollis. Donec consequat elit ut nunc."[2]

This would be another possibility:

"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Nullam ut pede sit amet velit consectetuer imperdiet. Maecenas ut metus ut nunc ullamcorper facilisis. Ut est dui, euismod nec, sagittis quis, scelerisque sollicitudin, arcu. Phasellus dapibus ipsum eget mi. Fusce rhoncus. Nunc pretium turpis vel diam. Nulla magna turpis, gravida vel, posuere mollis, porta eget, erat. Ut luctus pulvinar velit. Nunc in dui id diam posuere mollis. Donec consequat elit ut nunc."[2]

As for the footnotes. Basically footnotes[3] are references to the source of cited text in the articles. It can be used like the one in the previous sentence but also at the end of a sentence.[4]

If you need a reference[5] more than one time, you can add a name[6] to this reference[5] and like the one in this sentence, it will always have the same number. More about this topic can be found in the article about footnotes and citation.

Information from the Spyderco catalog on the web

Here the same applies as in the afore mentioned section.

Variations.

Here goes the information about all known variations and their data. The best way to present them is a table like the one below. A template is used to format the table, namely the template "Articletable".

SKU Knife Edge Steel MSRP Note Number made
ABC Description of the knife P, S, PS, etc. steel type last known MSRP in USD special notes How many?
XYZ etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Most collectible variation

Which variation is the most valuable, collectible, etc. and why?

Questions regarding collecting the XYZ

Here go all things we do not yet know about the model, but would like to. The following form is preferred:

  • Question 1?
  • Question 2?
  • Question 3?
  • etc.

Technical information

Typical metric measurements in mm and grams. Again, a table is the preferred method:

Length overall Length closed Length edge Hole Ø Blade thickness Weight
200 100 80 12 3 150

Typical imperial measurements in inches and ounces. Same as above:

Length overall Length closed Length edge Hole Ø Blade thickness Weight
7 4/5" 4" 3 1/10" 15/32" 1/8" 5,3 oz.

References

  1. Link to a PDF-version of the mentioned catalog, or Spyderco's online catalog
  2. 2.0 2.1 Here should be a link to the source of the quoted text or a bibliographic reference if literature was used.
  3. A footnote can be used to add references to the Text
  4. This would be the way most people add references for quoted text.
  5. 5.0 5.1 i.e. a footnote
  6. Please view the source of this page to see how to do it.
