Corain is a stone-like synthetic produced by DuPont, composed of acrylic polymer and alumina trihydrate. It's often used in kitchen and bathroom countertops. It can be themoformed, is non-porous and stain resistant. It is used in some of Spyderco's kitchen knives, though the handles are slippery when wet.
