Crucible® Industries’ CPM REX® 76® is a super-high-speed steel particle metallurgy steel heat treatable to HRC 68-70. Created for special-purpose cutting tools requiring high abrasion resistance, high red hardness, and good toughness, its alloy composition features high carbon, vanadium, molybdenum, and cobalt contents. Enhanced by the CPM process, this advanced mix of elements provides excellent wear resistance, fine grain size, and a uniform distribution of carbides throughout the steel.
