AEB-L is made by Uddeholm, it is a blankable stainless steel originally developed in the 1960’s for use in razor blades. AEB-L offers a unique combination of high hardness, sharpness, corrosion resistance, and toughness. Although its edge retention is overshadowed by other steels, its superior edge stability makes it ideal for knives with thinner edges and large knives requiring extreme toughness.
